Curt Gutjahr

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful and unexpected passing of Curtis Paul Gutjahr on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in his 68th year. Cherished son to his mother Joy, and predeceased by his father Ross. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda, for over 39 years. Loving father to Corey (Lauren) and Taryn-Lee (Simon), dear brother of Connie (Paul), and Cathie (Kent). Sadly, missed by his 6 nephews, brother in-law Craig (Jo-anne), many aunts, uncles and cousins. His absence in the life of Ron & Susan Arnold, the Legion/ Hunting guys, and his Eagle Lake friends will be deeply felt.

Curt’s family and friends meant the world to him. He would not hesitate to spend hours on the phone catching up. He was as genuine caring person who was always there to help anyone when needed.

Curt was happiest at Eagle Lake, and he has now gone home.

Family will receive friends at the Zion United Church on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. A private interment will take place at Bow’s Cemetery in the family plot.  Arrangements are entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home- Moore Chapel.
If so desired please consider a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, Bladder Cancer Canada, or the London Humane Society would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
