MR. ZANE IVAN PUDDY of Burk's Falls, formerly of Depot Harbour and Toronto Peacefully at Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville on Sunday August 31, 2014. Mr. Zane Puddy, beloved husband of Judith (nee Wager) and the late Joyce (nee Howell), was in his 83rd year. Dear father of Harry Puddy, Juanita Black (Fred), Cindy MacDonald (Bruce), Richard Puddy (Bobby-Lynn), Margaret Garvin (Tim) and stepfather to Wayne Pantry. Zane is predeceased by his parents Harry and Zelpha Puddy, his son Zane Jr., stepson Lorne Michaelis, stepdaughter Elaine Pantry and brother Everett Puddy. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren; Sara, Ashley, Miranda, Candice, Alex, Joey, Olivia, Matthew, Jack, Bentley and great granddaughter Lilly. Survived by siblings; Sheila Blair (Allen), Curwood Puddy and Shirley Doherty (Bruce). The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Wednesday September 3, 2014 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Zane Puddy will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday September 4, 2014 with Brother Brian Archer officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, Burk's Falls, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
