Peacefully at Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia on Sunday March 30, 2025. Wally, beloved husband of the late JoeAnn, was in his 83rd year.

Loving father of Natalie (late Ted), Denise (Milton), Tracy (Bryan) and Angela (Kris).

Proud grandfather of Jordan, Bryanna, Charlie (Chloe), Caileigh (Nik), Kiki, Brandi (Norman) and great grandfather of Asher, Korben and Jace.

Wally is survived by his sister Joanie (late Leigh, late Don), Janice (Ron), his sister-in-law Melva and predeceased by his brother Leo. He will be fondly remembered by Linda Wood and his brother of choice, Bill Lowe.

Wally loved Burk’s Falls, the people and all things local. He believed in giving back and expected no recognition. He was devoted to his family and always fostered kindness, he loved animals, golf, nature and later took pleasure in driving the country roads of Oro-Medonte.

The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk’s Falls on Saturday April 12, 2025 from 1 to 3pm, with opening remarks at 1:15pm.

Cremation has taken place and if desired memorial donations to the Mariposa House Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
