VIRGINIA ANDERSON "Flossie" (nee Petrie) of Kearney Unexpectedly at Toronto General Hospital on Wednesday December 24, 2014. Virginia Anderson, beloved wife of the late Walter Anderson, was in her 75th year. Dear mother of Dennise Ryder, Donna Ryder (Shawn Klinner) and Hugh Ryder. Proud grandmother of Benjamin and Nickolas Weir, Jackson, Carson and Addison Ryder, Jill and Matthew Klinner. Great grandmother of Connor, Riley and one on the way. Survived by brother Jack Petrie (Karen) and predeceased by sister Marlene Nischan (Hans). Virginia will be fondly remembered by Brian and Tori White and family, Calvin and Lisa Cope and family, Ken and Tammy Bennett and family, her Lion's family and all who knew her. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday January 2, 2015 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. A Lion's tribute service will be held in the funeral home Friday evening at 7:15 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Virginia Anderson will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday January 3, 2015 with Reverend Nina Fulford officiating. Spring interment in Knox United Cemetery in Kearney. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kearney Lion's Club would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
