Passed away on October 15, 2017, peacefully, at home in Yellowknife, surrounded by loved ones. Tish Wilson, beloved wife and best friend of the late James (Jim) Wilson. Dear mother of Richard (Amy), Rebecca (Troy) and late Donald (Sarah) Loving grandmother of Shylowe, Chase, Kailin, Abbigail, Marcus, Alexandra, and Jacob. Cherished sister of Paul Harnett. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Theresa Harnett. Tish had a passion for her family, her nursing career, staying active, a good glass of red wine, a hot cup of tea and cheering on her Blue Jays. She will be missed and fondly remembered by her family and many friends. Tish's family would like to thank the Yellowknife Home Care team for the care and kindness they showed, not only to Tish, but to the whole family during the months before her passing. They would also like to say a special thank you to Joy Wilson, Karen Taylor and Lorna Rick for travelling to Yellowknife to assist with her care; words can't express how much it meant. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Saturday August 4, 2018 from 1-2 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Tish Wilson will follow in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Rick Callery officiating. Private family interment at the Strong Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Warriors of Hope Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat Racing Team would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
