MR. SINCLAIR "CLAIR" EDWARD SCHMIDT Of Sundridge Peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Lady Isabelle Nursing Home in Trout Creek on Sunday January 13, 2013 in his 81st year. Clair Schmidt, beloved husband of Betty Schmidt (nee McPherson). Dear father of Mike Schmidt (Nancy), Sue MacIntosh (Eldy), Andy Schmidt (Glenda), Cindy Leggett (Tim), Darcy Schmidt (Rhonda) and predeceased by Baby Girl Schmidt. Loving grandfather of Amanda, Stephen, Alyssa, Andrea (Cory), Carissa, Miranda, Brennen, Keitney, Ashton, Jordan, Dustin, Hunter, Tyeson and great grandfather of Ethan and Kenny. Fondly remembered by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Wednesday January 16, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Members of the Strong Masonic Lodge will gather in the chapel for a tribute service on Wednesday at 6:30 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Clair Schmidt will be conducted at the Zion United Church in Sundridge on Thursday January 17, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Lori Campbell officiating. Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Strong Masonic Lodge would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
