SHIRLEY WEST "AUNT SHIRLEY" Of Burk's Falls Peacefully at her residence in Burk's Falls on Monday June 10, 2013 in her 82nd year. Shirley West (nee Hall), beloved mother of Glen West of Phoenix, Arizona and Julie Chamberlain (Scott). Loving grandmother of Mary and Kathy West. Fondly remembered by her many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents John and Margaret Hall and her seven brothers and sisters. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Saturday June 15, 2013 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Shirley West will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday June 15, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. with Maureen Ellison officiating. If desired, memorial donations to The Red Cross or C.C.A.C. would be sincerely appreciated by the family She gently took death by the hand And journeyed to that Promised Land And there with steps so light and gay She shines and polishes the sun by day And lights the stars that shine by night And keeps the moonbeams silvery bright For mothers never really die They just keep house up in the sky And in that Heavenly home above They wait to welcome those they love
