MRS. SHIRLEY MAY VANDUZEN of Katrine (nee McGregor) Suddenly at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Thursday August 13, 2009. Mrs. Shirley VanDuzen was in her 74th year. Beloved wife of the late Victor VanDuzen. Dear mother of Linda (Dave) and Alan (Esther) Cherished grandmother of Carrie, Craig, Christian and Mandy. Loving great grandmother of many. Shirley is survived by her sister Margaret Ivany, brother Kenneth McGregor, sisters in law Ann, Audrey and brother in law Jack VanDuzen (Val). The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday August 17, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. VanDuzen will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 18, 2009. Pastor Richard McQuillin officiating. Interment in Chetwynd Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
