SANDY BRYANT of Sprucedale and formerly of Brantford Peacefully at her home in Sprucedale on Wednesday February 12, 2014. Sandy Bryant, beloved spouse of Lin Waddington for 37 years, was in her 71st year. Sandy is survived by her sister Sue Swanson, nieces; Krista Swanson, Karena Abley, nephew; Tom Perrin (Karen), great nephews; Oscar, Trudeau, Brad, Mike and great nieces; Harriet and Candace. Sandy will be fondly remembered by all of her family and friends, the Unclaimed Treasures Club and especially by her Uncle Harold. Sandy taught for 34 1/2 years with the former Brantford Board of Education and later in her career taught English and many other aspects of Canadian life to new Canadian students. She gave unselfishly of her time and talents and expected nothing in return. She loved her gardens and all the various things that grew in them. Her knitted socks, sweaters, and shawls will be worn for years to come. Her pickles, jams, jellies, and relishes will also be eaten and savored. We have appreciated the help of Margaret, Marti and Ruth at this time and Norma, from Hospice Huntsville, Cathy and Heather from ParaMed and Dr. Megan Stephenson, who spent many hours at our house. Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls. Cremation has taken place and interment of cremated remains at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to World Vision or any child related charity would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
