MR. ROY LEWIS BRANDT Formerly of Burk's Falls Peacefully at the Leacock Care Centre in Orillia on Wednesday February 29, 2012. Mr. Roy Brandt was in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Janette Brandt (nee Smith). Dear father of Patricia Hodgson and Douglas Brandt (Ruth). Cherished grandfather of Brian (Michelle), Glen (Kristy), Michelle (Rob) and Mark (Christine). Great grandfather to Ciera, Mya, Trent, Kieryn, Alexander, Noah and Autumn. Roy is predeceased by his parents John (Jack) and Mary Brandt as well as his siblings; Millie, Tillie, Grace, Alice, Eileen, Harold, Howard and Leonard. Roy will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Sunday March 4, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Brandt will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday March 4, 2012 with Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Spring interment in the Burk's Falls Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society, your local animal shelter or the Hospital for Sick Children would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
