MR. ROSS DOUGLAS FARNSWORTH of Sundridge and formerly of Huntsville Peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan on Wednesday October 22, 2014 in his 96th year. Ross Farnsworth, beloved husband of Flora Mae Farnsworth (nee Reid). Dear father of Courtney Farnsworth (Cherie), Gayle Holmes (Jim) and the late Larry Farnsworth. Loving grandfather of Debbie (Stewart), Shaka, Meghan (David), Joshua (Jen), Karim, Morgan, Brandon and great grandfather of Avery, Hannah, Makayla, Michael, Jasmine and Haleigh. Survived by sisters Jean Conroy (late Peter), Ellen Hynds (late Biff) and brothers Fred Farnsworth (Chan) and Mel Farnsworth (Beth). Predeceased by parents William and Myrtle Farnsworth (nee Took), sisters Gladys Pickering (late Walter), Mildred Wilkinson (late Albert) and brothers Clifford Farnsworth (late Julia) and Ronald Farnsworth (late Chris). Fondly remembered by the Rawn family, his many nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends. The family extends our thanks to Steve and Jan Rawn for all their love, prayers and care they provided Ross. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Friday October 24, 2014 from 7-8 P.M. and at Bethel Pentecostal Church on Buck Haven Road in Sundridge on Saturday October 25, 2014 from 1-2 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Ross Farnsworth will follow in the church on Saturday October 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Bill Meade officiating. Interment at the Lock's Cemetery in Huntsville. If desired, memorial donations to Eastholme would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
