Ron Attwell

RON ATTWELL of Sundridge Peacefully at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Monday December 4, 2017 in his 83rd year. Ron Attwell, beloved husband of Betty Attwell (nee McCreary). Loving dad of Rhonda Theberge (Greg), Bob Attwell (Terri) and Steve Attwell (Fanny). Proud papa of Racquel, Brett, Marly, Kristi (Keith), Laura, Zach, Cole, Shaw (Missy) and great grandfather of Layla. Cherished brother of Stephen Crites and predeceased by brothers Norm Attwell and Cecil Attwell. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ron was a retired professional hockey player who made his roots in Sundridge. He was an avid sportsman and coach in the community. Family will receive visitors at Knox Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Sundridge on Friday December 8, 2017 from 6-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Ron Attwell will be conducted in the church on Saturday December 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge.
