MR. ROBERT LORNE LAKING "Ted" & "Bob" Of Huntsville and formerly of Garson Suddenly at his home on Thursday June 21, 2018. Bob Laking, beloved husband of Marion, was in his 90th year. Dear father of Brenda Laking, Brian Laking (Maxine) and Sandra Vildis (Peter). Proud grandfather of Nicholas and Sara Vildis, Andrena Jutras, AmberLee Gummeson and great grandfather of 5 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Jack Laking (late Doris), Ann Spencer (late Ken) and predeceased by brother Floyd Laking (late Joyce). Bob will be fondly remembered by all of his family and friends. He was an employee of Falconbridge Nickel Mines for 39 years. A graveside service will be conducted in the Knox United Cemetery in Kearney commencing at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday August 11, 2018 with Reverend Nina Fulford officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
