MRS. PHYLLIS CATHERINE SANDS of Dunchurch Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Friday February 6, 2015 in her 88th year. Phyllis Sands (nee Jacklin), beloved wife of the late William Ernest "Ernie" Sands. Dear mother of Marshall Sands (Doris), Lynda Callery (Rick), Don Sands (Cheryl), Natalie Gould (John), Joy Cousins (Steve), Mary Beaucage (Al), Eric Sands (Angie) and predeceased by infant son Jackie Sands. Loving grandmother of Connie, Lori, Pat, Cami, Joe, Lisa, Darrin, Kayla, Hayley, Jenna, Tracy, Jessica, Megan, Justin and great grandmother of Steven, Kendra, Jodi, Aurora, Nathaniel, Josie, Daniel, Sarah, Mackenzie, Hannah, Jacob, Lyla, Zacharias, Hayden, Alyssa, Kara and Nathan. Fondly remembered by her many other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at Knox United Church on Highway #124 in Dunchurch on Monday February 9, 2015 from 12 P.M. - 1 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Phyllis Sands will follow in the church at 1:00 P.M. with the Reverend Charles and the Reverend Ratna Arasaratnam officiating. At Phyllis's request, cremation has taken place. Spring interment at the Fairholme Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge.
