MR. OLAVI TURUNEN of Burk's Falls Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday July 25, 2017. Olavi Turunen, beloved husband of Raija, was in his 91st year. Dear father of Ulla Theoret and the late Peter Turunen. Proud grandfather of Thomas, Paul and Hans. Dear brother of Eila Soikkonen of Finland, Jouko Turunen of the Canary Islands and the late Kalevi Turunen. Olavi will be fondly remembered by all of his family and friends in Canada, Finland and the USA. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Saturday July 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Olavi's life will follow in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Martti Hyhko officiating. Interment in the Burk's Falls Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
