MR. OLVER JOSEPH LAMB OF SUNDRIDGE Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard site on Sunday March 29, 2009 in his 86th year. Oliver Lamb, beloved husband of the late Betty Lamb (nee Cook). Cherished father of Joe (Jo-Anne) and Perry all of Sundridge. Loving grandfather of Jodi, Jamie, J.J., Darryl (Amanda) all of Sundridge, Jessica (John) of B.C., Crystal, Josie, Holly-Jo and Kelley all of Alberta, nine great grandchildren and predeceased by one great grandchild. Dear brother of Helen Whitehead (Reg), Vernon (Hilda), John (Rita) and predeceased by sisters Alma and Mabel. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and his many friends in the area. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Tuesday March 31, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #467 will gather in the chapel for a tribute service on Tuesday at 6:30 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Lamb will be conducted at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Sundridge on Wednesday April 1, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Les Drayer officiating. Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery, Sundridge. If desired memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
