MRS. MYRTLE A. HUGHES of Emsdale (nee Sollman) Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Saturday December 3, 2016. Mrs. Myrtle Hughes, beloved wife of the late William J. Hughes, was in her 94th year. Dear mother of Doug Hughes (Gloria), Gladys (Siddy) Campbell-McAuley (late Ray) and Nadine Sohm (Gerald). Proud grandmother of Karla Campbell (Fred Stoneburgh), Doug Campbell (Karen Todd) and Joanna Sohm. Great grandmother of Jessica, Joey, Kristin, Emma, Clorisa, Cody and Kelsey. Myrtle is survived by her siblings; Stan (Joy), Harvey (Barb), Phyllis (late Don), Larry (Pat), predeceased by brother Calvin and will be fondly remembered by all of her nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday December 5, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Hughes will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday December 6, 2016 with David Woodall officiating. Spring interment in St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery, Emsdale. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Huntsville would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
