MARY ELLEN WARNER of Novar and formerly of Burk's Falls Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday December 27, 2016. Mary Ellen Warner, beloved partner of the late Bob Slute. Dear mother of Jim Jubb (Adele), Brian Jubb, Cheryl Anne Ashby (Stan Marshall), Lesley Reynolds (Brent) and Shelley Macdowall-Howard (Doug). Proud grandmother of Jason (Erin), Kyle, Derek (Megan), Jenifer (Jordan), Jasper, Josephine, Justin (Haleigh), Ginny, Hailey, Sarah, Colby and Shianne. Great grandmother to Liam, Jesse, Levi, Hunter, Hudson, Ryker, Carter and Gracie. Mary Ellen is survived by her sisters; June Hayes (Wayne), Sharon George and predeceased by brothers; Bill and Gary Falls. She will be fondly remembered by all of her nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 405, 9 Mary Street in Burk's Falls from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday January 15, 2017. A Royal Canadian Legion tribute service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls. If desired, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Veteran's Programs or the Almaguin All Animal Rescue would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
