Marjorie Elizabeth Burns

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Algonquin Grace Hospice on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, she was in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late George Burns. Cherished mother of Jim Burns (Laura), Bill “Bud” Burns and predeceased by her children Linda and Peter. Proud grandmother of Angela, Jill, Samantha (Nick), Kimberly, Christopher (Tina), Jessica, Ryan (Aylana), step-grandmother of Jake (Julia), Anders and great-grandmother of Natasha (Simon), Evan (Amilia), Ethan, Scotty, Madison, Gabriel, Cooper and Parker. She will sadly missed by her brother John (Patricia) and is predeceased by her sister Jean and brothers Peter and Murray. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family.

Family will receive friends at the Opatovsky Funeral Home- Dempster Chapel on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Opatovsky Funeral Home- Dempster Chapel followed by the burial at Sprucedale Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice would be gratefully acknowledged as expression of sympathy.
