MRS. MARJORIE ELLA BATES of Orillia and formerly of Sundridge Peacefully at Trillium Manor in Orillia on Monday November 6, 2017 in her 89th year. Marjorie Bates (nee Cripps), beloved wife of the late Dick Bates. Dear mother of Donna Farrugia (John) and Paula Coulthard (Gerry). Loving grandmother of Amber, Taylor, Shannon (Mitch), Travis and great grandma of Aubrey, Weston and Lincoln. Predeceased by her mother Mabel Cripps and brothers William and Cliff Cripps. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at Knox Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Sundridge on Friday November 10, 2017 from 11 A.M. - 1 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Marjorie Bates will follow in the church at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Knox Presbyterian Church, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
