Margaret “Isabel” McVicar (nee Grove)

of Burks Falls

Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the Algonquin Grace Hospice on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, she was 83 years old.  Beloved wife of the late George Jr. Langdon & the late Lloyd McVicar.  Cherished mother of Cathy Jerrett (Don), Brian Langdon, Liana Wilson (John) and April McVicar (Des).  Proud Nan of Dawna Therrien (Jake), Matthew Davis, Amber Wilson (James), Laura Wilson (Tyler), Mercedeze Watson and Big-Nan of Logan & Brydon Therrien.  Sadly missed by her sister Mary Overland (Roy), and predeceased by her siblings June Slessor (Jack), Charles Grove (Betty), Walter Grove (Lisa), Pat Leijon (John), Dorothy Maguire (Neil) and Evelyn McCutcheon (Bill).  Isabel will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends at the Opatovsky Funeral Home- Dempster Chapel 210 Ontario St., Burk’s Falls on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  & Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral service at 1:00 pm.   Cremation will take place at the funeral service and burial of remains in Windsor at a later date.
