It is with heavy hearts that the Mayer family announces the sudden passing of Margaret Mayer at the South Lake Hospital in Newmarket on Friday, May 13, 2022, she was 82 years old.  Beloved wife of Robert Helmut Mayer.  Cherished mother of Melissa Mayer (Jason McDonald) and Ryan Mayer (Mattie).  Proud grandmother of Tanner McDonald.  Sadly missed by her siblings James Sloan (Margaret), Robert Sloan (Christine) and her nieces Lynn, Jill, Anna, Lisa, Amanda and nephews Allister and Tyson.  Sister-in-law of Peter (Rita) and the late Klaus Mayer (Heather).  Family will receive friends at Harmony United Church in Kearney on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.  Cremation will take place at Forest Lawn Crematorium.  If desired, donations to the Harmony United Church Kearney, ON would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home – Dempster Chapel 210 Ontario Street Burk’s Falls.
