MRS. LOY EMILY GIBSON (of Dunchurch) Peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Monday January 31, 2011 on her 76th year. Loy Gibson (nee North), beloved wife of Norman Gibson. Dear mother of Paul Gibson, Gail Brown (Bob), and Kathy McKinnon. Loving grandmother of Trisha (Dave), Rob (Angela), John, Cheryl (Dave), Sherri (Marty), and treasured great grandmother "Yoppi" of Spencer. Cherished sister of Viola, Thelma, Bernice and Wesley. Fondly remembered by "special" sister Joanne, daughter-in-law Terry, and her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Henry and Viola, sisters Annis and Eileen, brothers Ralph and Carl, and uncle Amos. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Loy Gibson will be conducted at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Thursday February 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Robert Sweet officiating. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Spring interment at the Maple Island Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Parry Sound Minor Hockey League, the West Parry Sound Health Centre, or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
