MR. LORNE BRUCE ELMER "Dude" of Katrine Suddenly at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Monday May 28, 2012. Dude Elmer, beloved husband of the late Marj Elmer, was in his 91st year. Dear father of Judi Elmer, Jerry Elmer (Nancy) and Ken Elmer (Mimi). Cherished grandfather of Rich (Karen), Rob (Darlene), Caitlin, Kyle and Kirsten. Great grandfather of Hudson and Seamus Lorne (arriving in August). Dude is predeceased by his brother Bud Elmer, sister Dorothy Forrest, twin brother Lloyd Elmer and will be fondly remembered by all his nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Wednesday May 30, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Dude Elmer will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday May 31, 2012 with Maureen Ellison officiating. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Stoney Creek, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations to the Burk's Falls and District Food Bank or the Katrine United Church Building Fund would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
