Passed away peacefully at Cassellholme in North Bay on Thursday, April 25, 2024, he was in his 87^th year. Beloved husband of Heather Marchand (nee McMurray). Cherished father of Randy Marchand (Kathy), Tamy Shearer (Dave), Tracey Chandler (Bruce) and step-father of Geordie Secord (Diana), Gary Secord and Kimme Lafayette. Proud grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Laverne will be sadly missed by his brother Monroe Marchand (Kathy).

Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion BR#467 in Sundridge on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 2-4 pm and there will be words of remembrance at 3:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home- Moore Chapel.

If desired, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion BR# 467 would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
