Dear mother of Jim (Lindsey) and Kristen Parkes. Loving grandmother of Ruby and Lyla Parkes. Cherished daughter of Carol Brownlee of Sundridge and Jerry Brownlee of Campbell River, British Columbia, sister of Sandy Mills (Paul), Mark Brownlee and Sherry Dobson (Terry) and daughter in law of Everett and Marjory Parkes. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A private family service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Laurie Parkes will be conducted at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Tuesday May 28, 2013 with Pastor Michelle Sim officiating. A public service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Laurie Parkes will be conducted at the Almaguin Missionary Church, Highway 124 on Saturday June 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with the Pastor Andre Wedseltoft officiating. If desired, memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
