KENNETH JORGENSEN Of Doe Lake Peacefully after a courageous battle at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday July 12, 2011. Ken Jorgensen was in his 79th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Andrea Hansen. Dear father of the late Philip, Randy (Sue), Eric (Carol-Ann) and Andrea's daughter Laurie (John). Loving grandfather of David, Sarah, Emma and Peter. Ken was an active volunteer in Scouting, a retired Housing Manager for Metro Toronto Housing Authority and a member of Corona and Connaught Lodges AFAM. He also helped Andrea establish and was chairman of Strings Across The Sky Foundation, which empowers high-arctic and remote community youth through music. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Sunday July 17, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate Ken's life will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Monday July 18, 2011. Pastor Richard McQuillin and Corona Lodge officiating. Cremation to follow.
