KATIE BROWN (Alexander) (nee Smith) of Burk's Falls Peacefully at her home on Saturday May 31, 2014. Katie Brown, beloved wife of the late Maurice Brown, was in her 87th year. Dear mother of Gary (Maizy), Janice (Terry), Grant (Darlene) and Glen (Korrie). Proud grandmother of Kirk (Ruby), Erin (Bill), Brandi (Charles), Samantha (Nelson), Scott, Brian, Krista and Nathan. Katie is survived by her sister Helen Harp and will be fondly remembered by all of her family, friends and bingo buddies. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday June 2, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Brown will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 3, 2014 with Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Interment in the Burk's Falls Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
