MR. KARL RICHARD SLOAN of Kitchener On Friday September 23, 2016 in his 59th year Karl Sloan reached his final destination...an eternal home where he rests in the Comfort & Peace of his Saviour Jesus Christ. Karl was a devoted husband to Christine (nee Wilson) and loving father of Joshua (Samantha) and Ethan. His passion & commitment to living a life of truth and example will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Dear son of Patricia and the late Allan Sloan; and son-in-law of Earl and Margaret Wilson. Cherished brother of Debby Loney (Doug), Gerald Sloan (Sandy), Shawn Sloan (Cathy); brother-in-law of George Wilson (Beth) and Ruth Gingras (Roger). Predeceased by sister Wendy. Fondly remembered by his good friend Rob Rennie. Dearly loved and missed by his many nieces & nephews. Family will receive visitors at the Lakeshore Evangelical Missionary Church, 656 Lakeshore Drive in North Bay, on Thursday September 29, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday September 30, 2016 from 9-11 A.M. A service to celebrate the life of Karl will follow in the church on Friday September 30, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Mark Chester officiating. Interment will be held at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. A memorial celebration of life will be held at Grace Bible Church, 334 Preston Parkway in Cambridge, Ontario on Tuesday October 4, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge.
