Sundridge

Jutta Luise Jaeger, passed away peacefully at the Huntsville Hospice on Monday, November 18, 2024. She was in her 83rd year.

Jutta was born on March 18, 1942 to Heinrich and Emma Kohl in Hanroth Germany. She had three brothers and two sisters, Helmut, Rudolf, Walter, Anni and Hilde. All of her siblings continued to live in the Westerwald region of Germany while she moved to Toronto Canada in 1964.

On Aug 14, 1964 Jutta married the love of her life, Friedhelm Jaeger. This was the beginning of 60 years of marriage which included countless travelling adventures.

On Dec 1, 1967 Jutta gave birth to her son Michael. She spent most of her time in Toronto as a stay at home mom raising her son and briefly enjoyed working as a lunchroom supervisor at Gledhill Public School. Here her warm personality and sense of humour made her popular with the young students.

While living in Toronto precious family time was spent at her cottage on Lake Scugug as well as winter months in Cape Coral Florida.

In 1996, Jutta and Friedhelm moved to their retirement home on Forest Lake near Sundridge Ontario where she lived until the end of her wonderful life. Here she enjoyed the company of various neighbours and particularily the children, young and old, of the Anderson family. She is still known as Oma until this day.

Jutta is survived by her husband Friedhelm, son Michael, and granddaughter Samantha. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium and arrangements are entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel. A private internment of cremated remains will take place at Strong Cemetary. If desired, donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville, would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
