June Scully Foeller
June 18, 1924 – December 15, 2020

With deepest sorrow we share the loss of our loving mother, June Catherine Scully Foeller (nee Ganson), on December 15th, 2020, in her 97th year, at Muskoka Landing, Huntsville, ON, where June resided since 2015.  June is predeceased by her husbands: George Foeller in 1987, and Bernard “Bill” Scully in 1969, both of Sprucedale, ON.
Left to mourn are her children:  Patricia McFarlane of Huntsville, Richard (Laura Scully) of Port Carling, Marcia (Paul Joiner), of Emsdale and Cheryl of Huntsville and grandchildren:  Christopher (Kim Joiner), Scott (Brieanne Hutcheson-Joiner), Shannon (Richard Kranjec) and Graham (Huy Scully).  Proud great-grandmother to Brett, Haileigh, Brooklyn, Matthew, Ella, Sydney, Isabelle, Sophie and Palmer.
She is fondly remembered by cousin Peggy Austin, of Katrine and friends: Georgie Gilbert of Dumbarton, Scotland and Michelle Dillman of Milton along with members of Trinity United Church Huntsville and Sprucedale United Church.
June was born in Owen Sound, ON and adopted by her late parent William and Lucy Ganson (Horne) of Toronto.  The last remaining sibling, she joins her predeceased sister, Joan Sherwood Dunn.  June also leaves her sisters-in-law: Colette Gagnon Scully, of Ottawa and Kay Foeller Johnson of Gravenhurst including nieces and nephews in Sudbury, Ottawa, Kanata, Perth, Aurora, Toronto, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON and in Alberta.
After graduating Northern Secondary School in Toronto, she worked as a dressmaker at Robert Simpson Co., occasionally moonlighting as a store detective.  After meeting Bill Scully, they moved to Kitchener and began raising we four, eventually moving us all back to Toronto, where she worked as a billing clerk for O.H.I.P. and it’s original version called P.S.I., Physician’s Services Inc.  When Bill moved the family again, he had purchased the Sprucedale Hotel and introduced us to Muskoka.  After Dad’s passing in 1969, she met and married her friend’s brother, George, living in Toronto and upon retirement returned to Sprucedale.  Mom was a sociable gal, kind and generous to all, a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend and church Treasurer and volunteer.
Our Thanks to her caregivers at Muskoka Landing, especially our Angel, Amy Jolkowski who brightened her life with daily stories and a shared dry wit; supportive nurses Kim and Marta, and PSW’s Alma and Sheri, of whom she was very fond, to name a few.
June will be laid to rest in spring in the family plot in St. Gerard’s Catholic Cemetery in Sprucedale with Bill.  A Celebration of her Life will happen at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Opatovsky Funeral Home Dempster Chapel, Burks Falls.
Donations in lieu of flowers are requested for the Kidney Foundation and CNIB.
Mom, may you dance again with Gran and Grampa to your hearts content.
