Peacefully at The Pines in Bracebridge on Thursday February 23, 2023.  Joyce, beloved wife of the late Garfield Copeland, was in her 95th year.
Dear mother of Lynda Blackmore (John) and Lauren Copeland (Kevin).
Proud grandmother of Kelly and Jeffrey Blackmore and great grandmother of Quinn, Maggie, and Jonathan.
Joyce is predeceased by her parents Annie and William Hewitt and her siblings: James, Dorothy, Josephine, Idabell, Jean, John and Jewel.
Joyce will be fondly remembered by all her nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Friday March 3, 2023, from 1 to 3pm and 6 to 8pm. A service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be conducted in the funeral home chapel commencing at 1:00pm on Saturday March 4, 2023, with Rev. David Woodall officiating. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes in the Burk’s Falls Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Algonquin Grace Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
