MR. JOHN JOSEPH LUCAS Of South River Peacefully at Cassellholme in North Bay on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in his 77th year. John Lucas, beloved husband of Betty Restoule. Loving father of Kenny (Beverly) Haggart of New Brunswick, Kelly Haggart of Huntsville, Norman Lucas and Jody Lucas. Cherished grandfather of twin granddaughters Kourtney and Krystal Haggart and many others. Dear brother of Kay, Treasa, Josie, Donna and Reta. Predeceased by parents Joe and Jean Lucas and sister Marie. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends in the area. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Friday August, 28, 2009 from 7 - 9 P.M. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 390, South River will conduct a tribute service in the chapel on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 6:30 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Lucas will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Sister Nancy officiating. Interment at South River Cemetery, South River, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations to the Diabetes Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cassellholme would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
