MR. JOHN ALLEN BENNISON (of South River) Peacefully surrounded by his family at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard site on Saturday October 30, 2010 in his 85th year. John Bennison, beloved husband of Marg Bennison (nee Harley) of South River. Dear father of Ron (Darla), Linda Sarginson (Ron), Brian (Charlene), Larry (Vicky) and Kim Armstrong (Tony). Loving grandfather of Christopher (Dee), Ryan, Peter, Ashley (Mike), Brad (Erika), Jennifer, Lisa, Matthew, Laura, Stephen, Aaron, Brandon and great grandfather of Gabriel. Cherished brother of Charles (Betty) and Harvey (Evelyn). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends in the area. Predeceased by his parents, three sisters and three brothers. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Monday November 1, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. John Bennison will be conducted at the Chalmers United Church in South River on Tuesday November 2, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Joan Smith officiating. Family will receive visitors in the church on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment at the South River Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Parkinson Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
