MR. JOHN HERBERT ANDERSON of Sundridge Peacefully with his family by his side at the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville on Monday June 16, 2014 in his 83rd year. Herb Anderson, beloved husband of Colleen Anderson (nee Bray). Dear father of Sheri MacIntosh (Kirby) and Meri-Jo Thompson (Charlie). Loving grandfather of Jennie (Liam), Jaime, Mackenzie (Dan), Charlie, Andrew (Dana), Taylor and great grandfather of Bailee, Maggie, Alexis, Dekota and Teagan. Cherished brother-in-law of Dean Ward (late Jim) and Pete Bray (Kay). Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Friday June 20, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A private service to celebrate the life of the late Herb Anderson will be conducted in the chapel with Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Cancer Research Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
