MRS. JEAN SIMPSON (nee Thompson) formerly of Burk's Falls Peacefully at Eastholme Home for the Aged in Powassan on Sunday April 13, 2014, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Ernest J. Alexander, the late Clarence O. Smith and the late Edward J. Simpson. Also predeceased by good friend Lorne Schumacher. Dear mother of Allan Alexander (Ellen) of South River. Cherished grandmother of Susan Gardner (Joel) of Toronto and Robert Alexander (Alison) of Markham. Great grandmother of Jason and Sarah Gardner and James Alexander. Daughter to the late Robert and Pearl (nee Godkin) Thompson of Burk's Falls. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday April 18, 2014 from 1 to 2 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Simpson will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 2:00 p.m. on Friday April 18, 2014 with David Opatovsky officiating. Spring interment in Burk's Falls Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
