James Porter

Porter, James A D - Born August 30, 1934 in Toronto ON. He went to be with his Lord peacefully on September 14, 2023 in Guelph ON. Loving husband of the late Anna Marie (2015) for 57 years. Cherished father of David (Liz) and Diane (Chris). Proud Grandpa of Andrew (Emma), Saralyn and Laura (Tyler) and beloved Great-grandpa of Evan, Katie, Nathan and Fletcher. Jim was a long-term Bell Canada employee and a member of Richview Baptist and then Rexdale Alliance churches. Always remembered and always loved. Many thanks to the Palliative Care team at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Guelph. Family will receive friends at the Opatovsky Funeral Home – Moore Chapel on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Followed by the burial at Strong Cemetery.  If desired, donations to the  Scott Mission (https://scottmission.com/) would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
