MR. JAMES MEREDITH AUSTIN (of Sundridge, formerly of South River) Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard site on Thursday September 23, 2010 in his 89th year. Jim Austin, beloved husband of Nola Austin (nee Glover). Dear father of Helen Martin, Verna Cooper (Ron), Tracey Walsh and the late Dorothy Lafont. Loving grandfather of nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Cherished brother of Jean Alexander (Tom), Aggie Fisher, Margaret Phinney (Ralph) and predeceased by one brother and three sisters. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends in the area. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Saturday September 25, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Jim Austin will be conducted in the chapel on Monday September 27, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with the Pastor Rick Callery officiating. Interment at the Strong Cemetery, Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Lung Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
