Peacefully at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday November 6, 2019 in her 99th year.
Irene McAmmond (nee Saunders) beloved wife of the late Rufus McAmmond.
Dear mother of Donna Hoffman (Norman), Marilyn Hall and the late Lenard McAmmond.
Loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Cherished sister-in-law of Lillian Saunders.
Predeceased by parents Ethel and Richard Saunders and brothers William and Charles Saunders.
Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Friday November 8, 2019 from 1-3 and 6-8 P.M.
A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Irene McAmmond will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday November 9, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Rick Callery officiating.
Interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
