HILDA ALLEN of Kearney Peacefully at her home, held in the love of family and friends, on Tuesday September 27, 2016. Hilda Allen was in her 86th year. Beloved Mother of Sharron Allen, Ralph Allen, Jefferson Allen (Sue), Jan Janssen (Edo), and Sue Allen. Predeceased by her son Stephen (1955). Proud Grandmother of Jessica Scott (Ryan), Stefanie Allen (Greg), Steve Allen, Elizabeth Janssen, and Ingrid Janssen. Hilda will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other family and all the friends who were like family to her. Visitors will be received at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls, on Friday October 28, 2016 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. A service to celebrate Hilda's life will be conducted in Knox United Church, Harmony Congregation in Kearney commencing at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday October 29, 2016 with Reverend Nina Fulford officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Nature Conservancy of Canada (for Conservation of Songbird Habitat) or a charity of your choice, would greatly honour Hilda's life.
