HELEN ELIZABETH "BETTY" WHITEHEAD of South River On Saturday June16, 2012 in her 90th year, Betty Whitehead (nee Henderson), beloved wife of the late Stanley Whitehead passed away at the Lady Isabelle Nursing Home in Trout Creek. Dear mother of Helen Avis (Morley) of South River, Bob Whitehead of Englehart, Eleanor Chester (Tim) of Port McNeill, British Columbia, Stan Whitehead (Joanne) of South River and Ward Whitehead (Heather) of South River. Loving grandmother of Meaghan (Dave), Mallory (Joe), Mathew, Hannah, Tyson, Madison, Natalie, Britton and great grandmother of Alex and Tanner. Cherished sister of Ruth (John), Doris (Bill) and Jim (Nora). Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Elizabeth Henderson. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Wednesday June 20, 2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Betty Whitehead will be conducted at Chalmers United Church in South River on Thursday June 21, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with the Reverend Dennis Landry and the Reverend Les Drayer officiating. Interment in the South River Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Knox Presbyterian Church, Chalmers United Church or the North Bay Regional Health Centre would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
