MRS. HELEN IRENE GILCHRIST (nee Rickward) Of Huntsville and formerly of Kearney Peacefully at Muskoka Landing in Huntsville on Monday August 19, 2013. Mrs. Helen Gilchrist was in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Carroll Gilchrist. Dear mother of Wayne (Kelly) and Doug (Brenda). Cherished grandmother of Kristen, Bryan, Andrew, Katie, Tyler, Morgan and Wade. Great grandmother to Ava, Hayden, Mia, Ryan, Liam and Abigail. Dear sister of Kathleen (late Lorne), Grace (Norman), Harvey (Verna) and predeceased by Bob (late Irene) and Mildred (late Edward). Helen will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Wednesday August 21, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Gilchrist will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday August 22, 2013 with Majors Darren and Suzann Wiseman officiating. Interment in Knox United Cemetery in Kearney. If desired, memorial donations to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation or Algonquin Grace Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
