MR. HEINZ DIETER FICKEN of Magnetawan Peacefully at his home on Saturday May 25, 2013. Mr. Heinz Ficken, beloved partner of Vida Coombes and dear husband of the late Joan Bryant, was in his 71st year. Step father of Cathy Hobden (Brian) and Barry MacCallum (Chris) Grandfather of Faith, Julie, Cassandra, Jason and Cody. Brother of Helga Lenga, Christa Edwards and predeceased by brothers; Bodo, Wilfred and Manfred Ficken, sisters; Ruth Candeleria and Crisela Engelin. Heinz will be fondly remembered by the Coombes Family: Marie (Lloyd), Linda (Jack), Cathy (Jim) and all of their families. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday May 27, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Ficken will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 28, 2013. If desired, memorial donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
