MR. H. RAYMOND CARPENTER Of South River Peacefully at his residence in South River on Friday March 30th, 2012 in his 90th year. Ray Carpenter, beloved husband of the late Lois Carpenter (nee Brooks). Cherished father of George Carpenter (Fern) of South River and predeceased by his daughters Anita and Linda Carpenter. Loving grandfather of Jason (Amber), Jennifer (Darren Moggy), Jamie (Gillian), Jennalee (Kade Gray) and great grandfather of Elliot, Kaylee and Hudson. Fondly remembered by his brother George, sister Pat and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Sunday April 1, 2012 from 6:30 - 9 P.M. Members of the South River Royal Canadian Legion Branch #390 will gather in the chapel for a tribute service on Sunday at 6:00 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Ray Carpenter will be conducted in the chapel on Monday April 2, 2012 at 2:30 P.M. with Mr. Larry Jeffery officiating. Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
