MRS. GWENYTH ELAINE MOORE OF STITTSVILLE Moore, Gwenyth Elaine (nee Gale) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful Wife, Mom and Grandma, Gwen at the age of 68. She passed away peacefully at home, with her husband and children by her side on Sunday, December 7, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Ross for 43 years. Devoted mother to Ronald and his wife Colleen, and to Wendy and her husband Mike. Grandma will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Hailey, Alec, Zoe and Jack. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Reta Gale, and her sisters Margaret Gale and Beverly Karczmarczyk. Gwen's warm heart and caring spirit will be fondly remembered by her extended family, friends and all those she cared for throughout her nursing career. We would like to thank Ginger Forsayeth, Dr. Hurdon, Dr. Coulombe and Ellen for all their compassionate care and support. Friends and family may pay their respects at the Opatovsky Funeral Home, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Omond Memorial United Church in North Bay, followed by a funeral service and celebration of Gwen's life at 11a.m. Interment will take place in the spring at the Sundridge Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
