Peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday January 14, 2021 after a battle with cancer. Greer Cox, beloved son of the late Harold and Rita Cox, was in his 77th year.
Dear brother of Fern Carmichael (late Bruce, late John Hall), Meryl Cox (Olive) and Marvin Cox (Evelyn).
Cherished uncle of Monty Hall (Diane), Marilyn Taylor (Bruce), Sherry Turcotte (Tom), Andrew Cox (Terri-Ann), Jennifer Gallichan (Ian), Marlin Cox (Brenda) and predeceased by nephews Brian Hall (Mary) and Dave Cox (Valerie).
Greer is the proud uncle of many great and great-great nieces and nephews; he will be missed by all of his family, friends and coffee buddies at The Blue Roof.
A special thank you to Valerie for all the care and support she provided Greer.
Over the years, Greer was an avid volunteer in the community and Fire Department, and was always eager to lead a helping hand, and a smile. Retired, after many years, from Anderson’s. He will be missed by all.
Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Wednesday August 11, 2021 from 11am-1pm.
A service to celebrate the life of the late Greer Cox will follow in the chapel at 1pm with Rick Callery officiating.
Interment at the Strong Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to the Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
