MRS. GLADYS EVA MURDY (nee Tudhope) of Kearney Peacefully at Lady Isabelle Nursing Home in Trout Creek on Saturday September 29, 2012. Mrs. Gladys Murdy, beloved wife of the late Stephen Murdy, was in her 89th year. Dear mother of Arthur Murdy (Edna). Proud grandmother of Sean Murdy (Sandra) and the late Darren Murdy. Gladys is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Vera Tudhope, her brother Harry Tudhope, sister Lena Dauphin and will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday October 1, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. An Order of the Eastern Star remembrance service will take place in the funeral home Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Murdy will be conducted in Knox United Church in Kearney commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 2, 2012 with Reverend Nina Fulford officiating. Interment in Knox United Cemetery in Kearney. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family
