MR. GILBERT G. LANE "Gib" of Burk's Falls Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Sunday November 28, 2010. Mr. Gib Lane was in his 77th year. Beloved son of the late Gordon and Ida Lane. Dear brother of Lois Wilson (late Mac), the late Alice Goss (late Les) and Frank Lane. Gib was renowned throughout Ontario for excellent chainsaw sales and service, he was a long time councillor in Ryerson Township and will be fondly remembered by all his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Tuesday November 30, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Lane will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 1, 2010. Mr. Stephen Ramsay officiating. Interment in the Burk's Falls Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
