MR. GEORGE ALLAN BURNS (Of Sprucedale) After a brief illness at the Muskoka Algonquin Health Centre in Huntsville on Sunday August 22, 2010 in his 81st year. George Burns, beloved husband of Marjorie Burns (nee McAughey) of Sprucedale. Dear father of Linda Burns of Sudbury, Bill "Bud" Burns of Sprucedale, Jim Burns (Cathy) of Tilden Lake and the late Peter Burns. Loving grandfather of Angela (Eric), Jill (Steph), Samantha (Nick), Kimberley (Ian), Christopher (Tina), Jessica (Nate), Ryan and great grandfather of Natasha, Ethan, Evan and Gabrielle. Cherished brother of Harvey, Ben, Joyce and brother-in-law of Ivy. Predeceased by brothers Leonard, Edward and Eugene. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street, Burk's Falls on Tuesday August 24, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. George Burns will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday August 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with the Pastor Don Nicholson officiating. Interment at the Sprucedale United Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Huntsville would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
