MR. GEORGE (GOSSE) BERGSMA Of Burk's Falls After a courageous battle with cancer, George Bergsma died peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Friday April 30, 2010. Mr. George Bergsma was in his 64th year. Beloved husband of Sheila for 32 years. Loving father of David (Laura), Paul, Brad, Jodi (Randy Campbell) and Amanda Bergsma. Proud grandfather of Rachel, Jake, Hunter, Addison, Sofia and Kaylen. Dear brother of Wilma Vanderkooi (Bob), the late Ted Bergsma (Patti), Joan Horlings (Ken), Frank Bergsma (Sheila), Millie Dennis (Doug), Elaine Hoving (Harry), Allan Bergsma (Dale). Beloved son of the late Jelle and Shirley Bergsma. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday May 3 , 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Bergsma will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 4, 2010.
